I’m born and raised in Gothenburg Sweden. Living there now with my 2 kids.
Started fishing in my young days for perch, pike and rainbow trout in our local lakes around town and also up north at my grandparents summer vacation home. I put fishing on hold to focus on sports, mainly boxing and rugby where i competed and played in high division rugby.
After i put my boots on the shelf i needed to do something.
Started with fishing again and been doing that since around 2013-2014.
Also do some fly tying.
Now i target seatrout and rainbow trout. Also, some pike fishing now and then.

My name is Morten Hansen aka "Coastfly". I am a photographer/cinematographer born and raised in Denmark but now living in Germany.
Over the past few years I have built a community of over 40 thousand followers combined o my channels on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
I specialize in saltwater flies but enjoy tying just about anything just to learn new techniques and tricks.
I am also the creator of the Glass Shrimp and a few other patterns that have caught many exciting species all around the world.
Being from Denmark my favorite species to target has always been and will always be seatrout. There´s just something about "the fish of 1000 casts".
I am a big dreamer, and my many projects show that. Apart from being a photographer and filmmaker i am also a web designer. On top of that i am also social media expert and offer my services/knowledge in this area as well.
I thank fly tying for all that and i am excited for what the future holds for me.

In 2014 I discovered my passion for fly fishing and fly tying. What fascinates me about fly tying is that you can let your creativity run wild. I think it's great to develop your own variations and outsmart the sea trout with them.I share the fantastic hobby of fly fishing with my husband, with whom I mainly travel along Denmark's coasts, because salt water is my element, I feel at home there.

I’ve been saltwater fishing all my life.
It was only when I moved to Ireland 23 years ago that I was introduced to Fly Fishing and fell in love with this amazing fishing method. Since catching my first trout on a Bibio I was hooked for life.
I was amazed by the work of art of the Fly Patterns and I knew it was something I would love to learn. I invested on my first Fly tying vice and a Veniard Flytying kit, from there I started practising for countless hours by watching all these amazing Fly dressers on YouTube and following the step-by-step tutorials from the Fly-Tying Bible.
I fished rivers and lakes for many years here in Ireland, but the Salt always called me back, so I decided to give the Saltwater Fly Fishing a try. Once I hooked my first Bass on the fly there was no going back from it. From there I started tying Saltwater patterns which I now specialise in these days. Species I mainly target are Bass, Seatrout, Pollock but to be honest any species I can catch on the coast with a fly.
Also, have been tying the last 3 years at some major international Fly Fairs like the BFFI, Irish Fly Fair, Danish Fly Fair, so please come and say hello next time you at one of these events.

I am a Salmon fisherman with a big S, and I fish both locally in the rivers Skjern, Gudena and Karup.
But I have also been traveling with my fly rod for many years to places like Norway, Sweden, the Kola Peninsula, Venezuela, and Argentina. Trips that have inspired and taught me a lot. Both as a flyfisher and flytyer.
I dream of traveling a lot more in the future and exploring the world with my fly rod.
When I'm not fishing for salmon, you can find me around the Danish coast chasing seatrout and mackerel. And I also enjoy pike fishing once in a while.
I've been tying flies for more than 30 years.
Fly tying is a passion within the passion for me.
My specialty is modern salmon flies which I tie and develop for my fishing. I get inspired by a lot of great tires, new materials and trends.
Beside that I also tie a lot of flies for seatrout, pike and so on.

I am breathing everything about flyfishing.
My flyfishing journey started, when I was a small kid, after I caught my first Salmon on the flyrod it all escalated. The hunt for more experiences has become unquenchable. I have travelled to many countries to catch some of the most unattainable fish.

I have been flyfishing and fly-tying for about 45 years now, started at the bare age of 12. On my fishing path I have used all kind of different ways to catch fish, spin fishing, angling, from the ice etc. but always returned to flyfishing. Nowadays it's the only way I fish. My favorites to fish for are grayling and trout but you should never underestimate a pike, can be great fun on a surface fly.
I love my fly tying. The last decade I have been into more realistic fly tying, just because it's a lot of fun. When it comes to fishing flies I mostly tie dry flies, using hackle and CDC but now and then a shrimp or a flatwing for the sea run trout leaves my vise.
I also wright articles for the Swedish magazines Flugfiske i Norden and Allt om flugfiske/Fiskejournalen. Now and then you might also find me sitting on different fairs, tying flies and talking about flyfishing.

My passion for fishing started at a young age when my father would take my brothers and me down to the river to chase trout, carp, roach, and everything in between. In my late teenage years, that passion turned into a full-blown obsession with fly fishing and fly tying.
I’ve spent most of my fishing hours—with sore feet and plenty of blisters—along the Danish coast, chasing sea trout with a fly rod in hand. There’s something special about fishing for sea trout under the moonlight or at the crack of dawn that holds a unique place in my heart.
In 2023, I embarked on my first international saltwater fishing adventure, where a whole new world opened to me in the form of tarpon fishing—better known as pursuing "the silver king." I managed to land several of these fish, and they’ve haunted my dreams ever since.

Fly fishing has been a passion of mine for over 40 years, with a special focus on dry fly fishing for selective trout in flowing waters. There’s something truly satisfying about perfectly imitating their natural prey, especially insects.
I spend time at my tying bench daily, constantly experimenting with new materials and techniques to create better flies. When I’m not fishing, I dedicate much of my time to our farm and taking care of our animals.
Currently, I work as a woodcraft teacher, a job I absolutely love as it allows me to pass on my skills and knowledge. Before this, I spent 32 years as a specialist carpenter.
I also manage a Facebook group called “All of Us Who Love Dry Fly Fishing,” which has grown to over 10,000 members. You can also find me on Instagram (@jdtrout6908), where I share a lot of my fly-tying creations.
